Meet the West Covina Team Behind Carver Gate Repair West Covina

Most gate repair companies in West Covina send whoever is available. We don’t. The crew serving this part of the San Gabriel Valley is intentionally small, cross-trained, and led by people who’ve repaired gates from Hacienda Heights to Covina Hills long enough to know that a gate that won’t close is never a small problem to the family behind it. Every technician here has passed a background check, works in uniform, and reports to Lonnie Burke, our owner. We measure our work one gate at a time, but we’re hired because of how we leave a property: clean, secure, and working like it should.

Our People

Miguel R. – Lead Technician

Miguel has been repairing and installing gate systems across Los Angeles County for over a decade, and he’s the person we send when an older operator has stopped responding and nobody can figure out why. He’s certified on LiftMaster, FAAC, and DoorKing operator systems, and he keeps a running mental map of which West Covina neighborhoods have the heaviest slide-gate usage and which hillside properties wear out swing operators faster. Miguel spent six years doing industrial gate work near the 10 freeway corridor before joining this team, so he treats every repair like a security job, not a cosmetic one. He won’t quote a price until he’s put a meter on the motor and checked the limit switch himself.

Dana S. – Senior Installer

Dana leads our installation work, which means she’s the person measuring for new driveway gates in Woodside, investigating post depths in older yards near Cameron Park, and making sure a new articulating arm swings without dragging on a slope. She’s been building and hanging gates for nine years, and she’s the one who usually spots a drainage issue or a conduit problem before it becomes a gate problem. Dana is the certified trainer on Viking and Ghost Controls equipment for this location, and she’ll spend an extra twenty minutes making sure a homeowner understands how their new system works before she leaves. When she’s not on a site, she’s updating her notes on which neighborhoods have soil that settles and shifts posts over time.

Rosa T. – Service Coordinator

Rosa is the voice on the phone at 4:00 a.m. when a gate in West Covina has failed and a homeowner is late for work. She’s been answering service calls for the Garrison Partners family since 2016, and she knows the difference between a gate that needs a technician today and one that can wait for normal scheduling. Rosa keeps the dispatch board honest, matches the right technician to the right job, and she’s the reason every customer gets a written price before any work starts. She lives in the San Gabriel Valley and has a soft spot for callers with old Mighty Mule systems that just stopped after years of faithful service. Ask her about her dog, Chico. She’ll check in on you afterward.

Jordan P. – Apprentice Technician

Jordan joined us two years ago as an apprentice and has evolved into an installer who handles gate closers, keypads, and loop detector diagnostics under Miguel’s supervision. He’s working toward full certification on BFT and Linear systems, and he currently leads the inspection push on properties around Shadow Oak and the hills east of Azusa Avenue. Jordan grew up in West Covina and went to South Hills High, so he knows the local streets without a map and tends to notice when a homeowner’s gate is the oldest one on the block. He doesn’t pretend to know what he doesn’t. If he sees something beyond his scope, he calls Miguel before he touches a bolt.

One Standard, Every Job

The Garrison Standard isn’t a slogan around here. It’s the operating rule. It’s why every repair at this West Covina location carries a written 365-Day Done Right Promise, good for a full year from the date of service. It’s also why we hand every customer a written price before a single tool comes off the truck, and why the number on that page doesn’t move once work begins. The Garrison Code governs how our crew behaves on your property: show up in uniform, introduce yourself by name, explain what you found in plain language, clean the work area, and leave the gate better than you found it. Lonnie Burke has run this location on those rules since day one, and every technician knows the guarantee in writing is the floor, not the ceiling. If a repair fails within the guarantee window, we come back on the second visit at no charge, no argument. That’s the whole point of writing it down.
